ABOUT ANDREA
My love of event design and event planning began at a very young age. As a child, I watched in admiration as my parents played host to every family and social gathering we could celebrate in our home. From holiday parties, to workplace social gatherings, and even weddings, I was exposed to the wonderful world of events, and saw first hand how much happiness they had the ability to create in the lives of those we love most.
It seemed only natural to me that the key to a happy life was to master the art of hosting a great party!
One summer weekend, I was standing on the dock of my family cottage with my Dad, getting the boat ready so we could pick up my friends who were coming to the party I had planned for my 20th birthday. I remember being so happy in that moment that I thought: “I could do THIS for the rest of my life”! From that moment on, I knew I had found my calling and there was no turning back.
I spent the next 15 years building a career as a successful corporate event planner, specialising in Marketing and PR events for the technology industry. For several of those years, I ran a team of talented event planners at a Fortune 500 Company. In 2012, armed with a wealth of experience and a passion for planning the most creative special events, I decided to chase my life-long dream of opening my own company. King & Co Event Design was born.
When designing & styling events, the thought of making my clients and their guests’ smile is what drives me the most. I love paying attention to all the small details because I know that’s what will surprise and delight your guests the most. Designing the most elegant, stylish and creative events is my passion, and I love helping you bring your vision for the perfect party to life.
